Tosca Cafe

North Beach

Tosca Cafe , est. 1919 where Curran orders a Double Black Jack in Basic Instinct (1992).
This is a North Beach institution - perhaps you'd be sitting in the same seat as Sean Penn, Robin Williams Francis Ford Coppola, Hunter S. Thompson, or Sam Shepard.
Tosca Cafe, despite the name, has always been primarily a bar. Lars Ulrich was not drawn here by the pasta.
Their best and most famous dish is Depression-era "cappuccinos" - absolutely no coffee included.
That said, they do make great meatballs.

Don't miss your chance to play something special on the antique jukebox.
